In case of issuance of new Passport to OCI Cardholder:

(I) OCI card needs to be re-issued only once a new passport is acquired by the cardholder after completing 20 years of age.

(ii) OCI cardholder is required to upload ONLINE a copy of the new passport and a latest photo each time a new passport is issued up to 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age. The uploading of these documents may be done within three months of receipt of the new passport. The service will be provided on Gratis basis.

(iii) Foreign Spouse of an Indian Citizen or spouse of foreign origin of an OCI cardholder are required to upload Online:

  • Copy of the new passport.

  • Latest photo.

  • Declaration on subsisting of marriage.

  • Copy of the Indian passport of the Indian spouse or

  • Copies of Passport & OCI card of the OCI cardholder spouse.

Step 2: Fill necessary details arrow Upload required documents (self attested), Photograph & Signature (in the case of minors who cannot sign, left hand thumb impression) arrow Submit the application. arrow (In case of a minor, the application from may be signed by either of the parents or by the person to who the legal custody of the minor has been granted or by the legal guardian of such minor, as the case may be).

Step 3: Take appointment by calling on Embassy’s Telephone Number arrow Visit Embassy with Application, Photographs and other self attested documents (with Original documents for verification) to submit Application and for Bio-metrics.

Ex-Indian Citizens:

Passport (with 6 months validity).

  • Certificate of Registration of present Citizenship.

  • Address proof of Place of Application (Telephone bill/Electricity Bill/Lease).

  • Old Indian Passport with Surrender Certificate.

  • Visa/Resident Permit (for Non-Serbian citizens).

Children/Grandchildren of Indian Citizen:

  • Passport (with 6 months validity).

  • Certificate of Registration of present Citizenship.

  • Address proof of Place of Application (Telephone bill/Electricity Bill/Lease).

  • Indian Passport of Parents/Grandparents/Great Grandparents.

  • Birth Certificate (Apostle by Govt. who issued this, Translated in English if it is in foreign language).

  • Marriage certificate of parents (Reason, if not available).

  • If parents are divorced, copy of Court order mentioning the legal custody of child.

Spouse of an Indian Citizen:

  • Passport (with 6 months validity).

  • Certificate of Registration of present Citizenship.

  • Address proof of Place of Application (Telephone bill/Electricity Bill/Lease).

  • Passport of Indian Spouse.

  • Marriage certificate of atleast 2 years old marriage (Apostle by Govt. who issued this, Translated in English if it is in foreign language).

  • Declaration from Indian Spouse stating that in case of divorce/ separation/ death of foreign spouse, it is his/her responsibility to surrender the OCI card to the Government of India.

Spouse of an OCI Card holder:

  • Passport (with 6 months validity).

  • Certificate of Registration of present Citizenship.

  • Address proof of Place of Application (Telephone bill/Electricity Bill/Lease).

  • Passport of Spouse.

  • OCI Card of Spouse (including documents on which basis OCI was issued)

  • Marriage certificate of atleast 2 years old marriage (Apostle by Govt. who issued this, Translated in English if it is in foreign language).

  • Declaration from OCI cardholder Spouse stating that in case of divorce/ separation/ death of foreign spouse, it is his/her responsibility to surrender the OCI card to the Government of India.

PIO to OCI Card: Valid Passport (with 6 months validity), PIO Card.

Appointment in Embassy: Appointment can be taken by telephone call. Consular visiting hours are 0900-1200hrs.
