Visa Services

All e-Visa applicants are advised to only use the official Government of India website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html to apply for e-Visa.

The website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ is to be used by applicants who wish to apply for Regular Visas through the Indian Embassy in Belgrade.

Applicants should not deal with other websites such as (i) e-touristvisaindia.com , (ii) indianvisaonline.org.in, (iii) e-visaindia.com  (iv) indianvisagov.in(v) indianonlinevisas.org  (vi)https://www.online-visaindia.com/  that do not belong to the Government of India, and therefore should not be relied upon for Indian e-Visa services.

Online Visa Application

For applying for visa through the Indian Embassy in Serbia, please choose the option "Regular Visa Application" and select Serbia - Belgrade as the Indian Mission on the Online Visa Application Form

After applying online, the applicant must take a printout of the visa application form, and bring it along with all the requisite documents as per guidelines given below. 

Timings: Applications are received between 0900 and 1200 hours, Mondays to Fridays. The applicant should take prior appointment by calling Embassy's phone numbers. Normal processing time is 5 working days for nationals of Serbia. Payment of visa fee is accepted only by cash in dinars.

Nationals of countries other than Serbia are expected to obtain visas for India from Indian Missions in the country of their origin.

IMPORTANT VISA INFORMATION

Visa validity starts from the date of issuing the visa by the Embassy, and not from the date of intended travel to India. All applicants should check the details in their visas and bring any discrepancies to the attention of the issuing authority without delay for rectification.

Visa fee is payable exclusively in cash, in Serbian dinars only. The Embassy does not accept credit cards, bank transfer payments, or payments in foreign currency. Please ensure to bring the exact required visa fee amount. The visa fee must be paid immediately at the moment of submission of the visa request at the Embassy. It is not possible to pay at any later moment. Visa processing fee once deposited shall not be refunded. Fee should be deposited only after ascertaining the correct type and period of visa applicable to the purpose of travel.

The visa is biometric, therefore all applicants must be present in person during submission of the visa application. Personal presence is not required for children below the age of 12 and persons above the age of 70 years.

Submission of visa application is on appointment basis only. Please call the Embassy in advance to book your appointment.

Applicants are required to provide photocopies of all supporting documents for their visa application. It would not be possible to return original documents (i.e. contracts, diplomas, etc), if they are submitted with the visa application.

The applicant’s passport will be kept by the Embassy during the whole time of the visa issuance process which may take up to 5 working days depending upon the nationality of the applicant.

Serbian nationals who are also nationals of some other country ( dual nationality ), must present a photocopy of their other passport ( page with personal details only ). Duration of visa issuance process will be 5 working days in such cases.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VISA FOR SERBIAN APPLICANTS

ALL applicants must submit: Passport with a minimum validity of 180 days (excluding the period of visa applied for), 2 colour photographs (size 5 x 5 cm, with white/light backdrop), and printout of the completed Online Visa Application Form.

The completed and printed Visa Application Form will contain a barcode with a serial number beginning with SRBBV.... which represents the applicant’s Visa Application Registration Number.

While completing the Form, please ensure that all the given details are correct, especially name spelling, passport number, date of birth, and passport validity dates.

The Form must be completed and printed beforehand. It is not possible to do it at the Embassy’s visa counter.

Applicants are solely responsible for the applications they submit. Any false documents or other misrepresentation of information in support of their application will have a direct bearing on the judgment of their application by the Embassy of India, Belgrade.

Depending on the type of visa required, the Serbian applicant must also bring the documents listed below. Apart from these, if deemed necessary, the Embassy may require additional documents from the applicant. 

For Tourist Visa (T)

  1. Photocopy of the airplane ticket / flight booking.

For Business Visa (B)

  1. Invitation letter from the Indian company ( may be in original, or sent by fax or e-mail ) and “Certificate of Incorporation” of the Indian company;
  2. Original copy of letter from the employer, stating the nature of the company's business activity, details of the inviting company from India, details of the applicant (Applicant's designation in the company, name & surname, and passport number), type of visa, duration of visa, number of entries required (i.e. one year, multiple entry business visa). The letter must be written in English only.

For Transit Visa (TR)

  1. Photocopy of the airplane ticket / flight booking

Seamen requiring transit visas must also bring a photocopy of their Seaman’s Booklet (page with personal details only), an Invitation Letter from their Maritime Agent and counterpart agent from India.

For Employment Visa (E) & Project Visa (P)

  1. Photocopy of Invitation Letter, Employment Contract, and employer’s registration documents: Certificate of Incorporation (original documents for inspection only)
  2. Proof of the applicant’s qualifications or expertise in the field of employment (photocopy of educational degree diploma etc, with translation in English - original documents for inspection only).

Models seeking Employment Visa must present photocopies of magazine clippings from fashion editorials, fashion catalogues, commercial advertisements, or other published photographs proving their work experience in the modelling industry.

For Conference (C)

  1. Invitation Letter from the Conference organizer. The letter must be in the applicant’s name & passport number
  2. Political Clearance (approval) documents for organizing of the conference, issued by relevant Indian authorities
  3. letter from the applicant’s employer (letter must be in English only)
  4. copy of airplane ticket / flight booking

For Student Visa (ST)

  1. Invitation Letter from the recognized educational institution in India
  2. proof of paid scholarship
  3. proof of financial support during study

For Medical Visa ( MV )

  1. Invitation Letter from the hospital

For Journalist visa (JV)

  1. Invitation Letter from organizers of the event to be covered by the journalist
  2. Political Clearance ( approval ) documents for organizing of the event, issued by the relevant Indian authorities
  3. Letter from the journalist’s employer ( letter must be in English only )
  4. copy of airplane ticket / flight booking

For Entry Visa (XV)

This type of visa is generally issued to Persons of Indian Origin and foreign spouse & foreign children of an Indian citizen/ Person of Indian Origin/ OCI cardholder (other than those registered as OCI Card Holder and other purposes of travel not covered by any other of the above types of visa.

Thuraya/Irridium Satellite Phones

This is to bring to the kind notice of all visa applicants that carrying of ‘Thuraya/Irridium Satellite Phones’ by foreign travellers into India is banned and they are strictly advised not to carry such satellite phones with them while travelling to India.

Customs Baggage Rules and Entitlement of Passengers

The Central Board of Excise & Customs of India (CBEC) has released a mobile App “Indian Customs - Guide to Travellers“ to facilitate international passengers about Baggage Rules. The App, a first-of-its-kind mobile application, contains a ready reckoner of the customs baggage rules and entitlement of passengers. It contains 24x7 contact details of customs officers of major airports and provides information to users as per their need. After installation of App on smart phones, it works in offline mode and is available on all the three platforms- Android Play Store, Windows and Apple Store and serves as a Ready Reckoner of Customs Baggage Rules and Passenger Entitlements.
