Sub: Offer of ICCR Scholarships for Non BIMSTEC countries for the 2014-15 Academic Session.

The Embassy of India, Belgrade is pleased to inform that the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India, has invited applications from Serbian nationals for pursuing under-graduate/post graduate/Ph.D courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy & Yoga. Embassy of India further states that a total number of 20 seats are on offer including 5 seats on Yoga. The available seats are not being divided among countries and applications will be processed on ‘first come first served basis’. The prospective applicants are advised to do due diligence & research on the specific admission criteria laid down by the various Universities for each subject and ensure that they submit all relevant documentation as required by the Universities in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form. The applicant should have sufficient proficiency in English. The last date for receipt of the applications in the ICCR, India is 18th July 2014.

All interested applicants are advised to send their duly filled in application forms to the Embassy of India latest by 18th July 2014 for onward transmission to ICCR, India.

Eligibility Criteria for AYUSH Scholarships

Undergraduate Courses

•Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery(BAMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one
year mandatory clinical training.
Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects

•Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery(BSMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training.
Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects

•Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery(BUMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training.
Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects

•Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicines and Surgery(BHMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training.
Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects

•Bachelor of Science in Yoga: three year course.
Eligibility: 12 years of schooling.

Post Graduate Courses

•M.D Ayurveda: 3 years course
Eligibility: BAMS degree recognize by CCIM

•M.D Siddha: 3 years course
Eligibility: BSMS degree recognize by CCIM

•M.D Unani: 3 years course
Eligibility: BUMS degree recognized by CCIM (It may be noted that amongst foreign universities only degrees of Sri Lankan universities i.e. BAMS and BUMS from Institute of Indigenous medicine, University, of Colombo, Sri Lanka and BSMS from University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka are recognize by CCIM)

•M.D Homoeopathy: 3 years course
Eligibility: BHMS degree recognized by CCH (It may be noted that only the UG degrees on Indian Universities are recognized by CCH)

Ph.D. courses

Ph.D in Ayurveda: 3 years course (only 1 seat is available for foreign students)
Eligibility: M.D Ayurveda degree recognize by CCIM
