Indian junior national team wins gold at ‘’U-16 International Football Tournament’’, held in Serbia from 9-13 May, 2018

The junior Indian national team was the most successful team in the ’U-16 International Football Tournament’’ for juniors under the age of 16, which was held in Serbia from 9-13 May, 2018. The four nation-tournament, involving national teams from Serbia, India, Jordan and Tajikistan, was organised by the Football Association of Serbia.

The U-16 Indian team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, and lifted gold by defeating Tajikistan 4-2 and Jordan 2-1, while the score in the game against Serbia was 0-0. The Indian team finished top of group with seven points.
