H.E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, on behalf of the Government and the people of India, has conveyed the following message of condolences to the Hon'ble President and people of the Republic of Serbia:

"Excellency,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of lives and property caused by the unprecedented floods that have occurred in parts of Serbia. I understand that relief and rescue efforts are ongoing and I am confident that the Government and the people of Serbia will overcome this tragedy with fortitude and dignity.

Excellency, I extend on behalf of the Government and people of India, deepest condolences to the Government and people of Serbia, and to the bereaved and displaced families. The people of India stand by the people of Serbia in this difficult hour.

Government of India is ready to assist in reconstruction and development as the Government of Serbia would require. Please accept, as immediate relief assistance, our Government's contribution of USD 100,000/- as a token of our solidarity.
