Serbian shooters shine at the ISSF World Cup Final 2017, New Delhi

(Oct 23-30, 2017)

An eight-member Serbian National shooting team participated in the ISSF World Cup Final 2017 organized by International Shooting Sport Federation at New Delhi from 23-30 October 2017. The tournament saw participation by top-ranked shooters from 45 countries across the world in rifle, pistol and shotgun events for fifteen individual and three mixed team titles. For the first time three mixed competitions were held at the World Cup Final.

The Serbian team achieved 4th rank in the competition after winningthe following medals:

(i)   Mr. DamirMikec - Gold Medal in Men’s 50 m Piston

(ii)  Ms Andrea Arsovic - Gold Medal in Women’s 10 m Air Rifle.

(iii) MsZoranaArunovic -  BronzeMedal in women’s 25 m Pistol.

(iv) SilverMedal - 10 m Air Rifle Mixed Team event.

Director of Serbian Shooting Federation described the results with Serbian shooters figuring among top contenders as encouraging.

Theevent was culmination of the ISSF World Cup season which began in New Delhi in February 2017.
